Here are two illustrated essays I’ve created about my own life: one about rock climbing in Taiwan and another about my miscarriage and daughter.

I’ve always been drawn to the powerful combination of word and image, which is probably why I ended up making picture books and editorial illustrations! But those exist within very established structures, and I’m curious about looser formats such as graphic novels and even shorter pieces.

I’m wondering if there’s a place in the world for illustrated essays such as these. Please reach out if you have a job in mind!
