Interviews
I'm appreciative of opportunities to talk about illustration, whether it's discussing new projects or sharing what it means to work as an illustrator. Sometimes illustration projects can happen so quickly that interviews end up being a way for me to reflect on the process and even to consider what lies ahead.
I've been honored to speak with journalists such as Connie Schultz and to be featured on NPR Ideastream and PBS Newshour. More recently, I've enjoyed writing short essays that reflect on how my picture books are shaped by my personal life and my community.
